Founder: Chantell Wyten (she/her)
I am the daughter of two diaspora parents who migrated to Australia —raised in a country where I often felt just outside the frame of the dominant educational narrative. Like many children with rich cultural legacies and unique gifts, I grew up navigating a school system that rarely reflected the full spectrum of my identity.
It was this early awareness—of being unseen by some teachers—that led me to become an educator determined to change that experience for others.
My Why
Becoming the Teacher I Needed
I began my career as a teacher of humanities, then a school leader, committed to making space for every student to feel recognized and valued. Having practiced in three continents, I noticed how deeply power dynamics influenced educational systems and outcomes, particularly across intersections of gender, culture, language, and (narrowly defined) ‘ability’.
This insight became a lifelong focus: how can schools become more just, more relational, and more inclusive?

That mission expanded globally when I joined the International Baccalaureate (IB). As one of the early champions of the IB Career-related Programme (IBCP), I helped pilot a more inclusive pathway that challenged traditional ideas of academic success.
Together with an active and vocal team of global educational leaders, we succeeded in widening access to the IB, proving that equity and excellence are not opposites, but partners in innovation.
Research, Networks, and Transformative Impact
Scaling Impact Through International Thought Leadership
I actively engage in research in and with international communities, synthesizing the latest findings in equity and inclusive education to generate evidence-based insights that drive transformative practice.
I also draw on a strong, diverse network of educators and leaders around the world—connecting ideas and people to co-create scalable, context-responsive solutions that advance meaningful change in education systems.
What's next: Sharing Global Stories of Change
Now, I’m bringing these insights, experiences, and global connections to new spaces through this platform. My goal is to amplify a wide variety of stories and research that are reshaping education, while offering practical strategies for leaders to build schools where every learner belongs.
Through my website, podcast academic (Education by Design), and consulting services, I support educators in rethinking how schools can tell broader, more inclusive stories—ones grounded in justice and possibility.
